American River Resort’s wedding and reception venues can be as varied as any bride’s personal style. We encourage you to visit us for a free tour. Spring Weddings

Weddings never go out of style whatever the season or location, but there’s nothing as inspirational as a new-season wedding to get life flowing like a cool spring breeze. Our riverfront wedding venues are on full display with their spring colors and crisp clean looks. The Oak canopy over the riverfront venue is full of new growth and Mount Murphy stands out in all its glory, covered in green grass and wildflowers. The rocks along the river bed are cleaned off by the high flows of winter and early spring. Our Spring season tends to be warm during the day and cool at night, making for a perfect wedding temperature. Outdoor wedding ceremonies along the river are as perfect as they get and the reception can be held in our spacious indoor Events Center.

Fall Weddings

Weddings in the Fall along the river are spectacular! Did you know that almost 40% of all couples choose to say “I do” in the months of September, October, and November? Yes, Fall is fast catching up to Summer as a popular season for weddings. The American River Resort, with its romantic riverfront venues, is a natural outdoor setting is an easy, economical and spectacular choice for “tying the knot” in the Fall.

Here, along the American River, temperatures begin to cool in September, which makes afternoon weddings comfortable and evening receptions and dinners delightful. Central California weather often stays dry into October. Crisp blue skies and the beauty of changing seasons provide spectacular backdrops for Fall weddings. At the Resort, the sound of the rushing river nearby adds a special ambiance to every gathering.

The lodge at the resort makes an intimate setting for indoor ceremonies and receptions. In Fall, our event venues have greater availability. Prices are always right.

How to Book Your Wedding

Call us at 530-622-6700 and talk to us. We will answer all your questions and set up an appointment for you to come to tour the Resort.

Once you’ve decided to have your ceremony and reception at American River Resort, we’ll provide a contract for you to sign, which will include all agreed-upon details, such as dates, amenities required, number of guests, and so forth. We require a 50% deposit at that time.

Wedding Setup and Takedown

We don’t rush you at ARR. We’ll give you the time you need for setup and takedown. Typical set-up starts the day prior and takedown will extend to the day after your wedding. Your vendors will enjoy our cooperation and certain rental items can be dropped off the week of your wedding. Our many years of experience with weddings and receptions help us anticipate your requirements. Just put your planner and vendors in touch with us if questions arise.

Guest Lodging

American River Resort has six Cabins that accommodate 4 adults and have a full bath and kitchenette. We also have nine glamping cabin tent sites along the river, each can sleep 4 adults. There are a dozen full hook-up sites for various size trailers or RV’s. And we have dozens of tent camping sites along the river and up the hill. There are numerous B&B’s and other rentals close by the Resort.
