Our pond wedding venue offers a beautiful setting for your nuptials and tons of space for your ceremony. You and your team can get creative with guest seating and even have a string quartet for your walk down the aisle! The scenic backdrop of the pond and surrounding trees make an ideal setting for your outdoor wedding ceremony photos.

The pond venue can accommodate up to 150 guests and is a perfect space to book for both the wedding ceremony and the reception occurring at the same location. Your wedding party and guests can enjoy a nice toast, dinner, and boogie down in style!

Celebrate your commitment to everlasting love by sharing your wedding ceremony in Gold Country during one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. Hundreds of daffodils, irises, tulips, lupines, and California poppies naturally burst out from sleep to embrace the returning warmth at our riverfront Resort. The spring wedding season is the greenest and most colorful time of year!

The weather in the Spring offers optimal temperatures and conditions for your outdoor wedding. Cool mornings that gently fade into warm days and nights with lingering dusk create a naturally romantic atmosphere.

Fall Outdoor Wedding

Romantic Fall Weddings at American River Resort.

Fall is one of the most popular seasons for weddings in our area. Not only does it coincide with the harvest and crush season of many local wineries, but this season also provides much-needed relief from the heat of summer before the winter rains come to feed our rivers.

The “painter of light”, Thomas Kinkade, would often sketch or paint scenes from the foothills of Placerville and nearby towns. During the fall months in Coloma, you may feel as if you are in one of the scenes from Kinkade’s famous works. Fall is a painting-(or picture-)perfect time to host your outdoor wedding at our Resort.

How to Book Your Outdoor Wedding

Once you’ve decided to celebrate your wedding at American River Resort, we will send you an agreement to review and sign. An executed two-party agreement and a 50% deposit will secure your wedding venue.

Availability

Please check with our reservations office for availability on your desired date. Due to multiple venue spaces and individual circumstances, it’s possible to host more than one event on the same day at American River Resort.

Guest Lodging

American River Resort offers a wide range of guest accommodation from deluxe cabins to riverfront platform glamping cabin tents. The Resort also has full hook-up RV sites as well as individual tent camping sites. Our amenities include a stocked pond with bass and bluegill, a swimming pool, renovated restroom and shower facilities, and lots of parking.

Setup and Takedown

We allow a leisurely setup and takedown time, which your vendors will appreciate. Our years of event, wedding, and ceremony experience have helped us anticipate the time, logistics and space needs for many different occasions. Typical wedding setup starts the day before the ceremony and takedown can flow into the day after.
