Apple Hill Time!
What’s better in Fall, a cup of hot apple cider freshly pressed and a warm apple donut or slice of pie just out of the kitchen? Apple Hill is a small town of dedicated agricultural and horticultural farmers that earn their livelihood by selling their produce, baked and canned goods, and novelty crops like pumpkins and Christmas Trees to visitors from all over the world and the locals of El Dorado County.
Visit the small town, just 15 minutes from our campground, to get your fill of apple and fruit farms, farmers markets, bake shops, wineries, a spa, gardens, berry farms, weekend craft fairs, Christmas tree groves, winding roads and scenic beauty.
Enjoy fun activities for kids, which include haybale and corn mazes, fishing ponds, pony rides, farm animals, candy and fudge shops. There are over 50 farms and ranches along country roads in the Sierra Foothills between the rustic towns of Placerville and Camino.
Apple Hill Christmas tree farms open the day after Thanksgiving. Make a weekend of your tree of farm excursion and stay overnight in one of our cozy cabins by the river! For more information, visit the Apple Hill website.
