The oak canopied grounds of American River Resort provide scenic views of the Coloma Valley and access to the South Fork American River. There are approximately 3,000 feet of river shoreline at the resort. This stretch of river is home to the famous Troublemaker rapid and is one of the world's most popular whitewater destinations. Guests of the American River Resort can walk to the river and watch rafters and kayakers run Troublemaker rapid.
